SOCORRO – October 3, 2003 – New Mexico Tech President Daniel H. López has been named again as one of the state’s top 140 “power brokers” by New Mexico Business Weekly in its recently published 2004 POWER Book. This marks the second year in a row the university president has been included in the annual directory of “who’s who” among the state’s business and political communities.

This year, the POWER Book expanded its typical top 100 listing to recognize New Mexico Business Weekly’s selections for the 140 most influential people in New Mexico, including special sections devoted to “40 under Forty” and “Power Couples.”

“Another year of López’s leadership at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology meant expanded enrollment, new degree offerings and increased research opportunities,” the POWER Book profile on the Tech President states.
