NM Tech President Lopez Named Again as NM Power Broker, Oct. 5, 2005

SOCORRO, N.M., Oct. 5, 2005 – New Mexico Tech President Daniel H. López has been named again as one of the state’s top “power brokers” by New Mexico Business Weekly in its recently published 2006 POWER Book. This marks the fourth year in a row the university president has been included in the annual directory of “who’s who” among the state’s business and political communities.

“López is president of the Council of University Presidents and has established a Ph.D. in industrial mathematics and a master’s degree in electrical engineering at New Mexico Tech,” the POWER Book profile on the Tech president states. “He also developed a $2-million microelectronic research, development and evaluation lab, and an optical surfacing technology company.”
