MESA Students, Advisors Visiting Tech

Socorro, N.M. December 1, 2015 – More than 115 New Mexico MESA Students and advisors will participate in a campus visit to New Mexico Tech on Wednesday, December 2.

The event will include an admissions presentation, a campus tour, and hands-on workshops and programs with the Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Physics Departments.  The event is hosted by New Mexico Tech and aims to increase the success and preparedness of under-represented students going into STEM fields.

Students and advisors from Robertson High School, Springer High School, West Las Vegas High School, Bernalillo High School, Espanola Valley High School, Mesa Vista High School, Santa Fe High School, Crownpoint High School, Gallup High School, Grants High School, and Miyamura High School will attend. 

Students will also engage in activities prior to and after the conference where they will learn about Tech, how to engage in a college visit, and how to create a student resume.
