The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Student Chapter at New Mexico Tech recently was awarded the 2006-2007 Outstanding Collegiate Section Award (First Place in the Small Section category). This is a national award given by SWE to the small collegiate section that distinguishes itself in creative outreach and community service programs.

Pictured are several Tech students who are members of the award-winning SWE chapter (from left to right): Rachel Fry; James Couey; Ronadel Ronquillo (president); Jessica Stringfield; Amanda Posadas (vice president); and Greg Koch. SWE members who were unavailable for the photos are: Tammy Roof (treasurer); Dr. Claudia Wilson (faculty advisor); and Denise Schultze (SWE counselor).

Note: The Society of Women Engineers does not limit membership to women, nor to engineers. Everyone who supports women in engineering is welcome to join.
