Student Association Election

The election for officers of the New Mexico Tech Student Association is on Thursday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Fidel Center.

How can I run for office?

Pick up your candidacy form across from the SA offices near the post office in Fidel Center. Return the form by Monday, April 16, to the SA offices, or download the one at the Student Association website.

How can I hear the candidates?

The Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidate Forum is your chance to hear what they have to say on important school issues. It will be held on Weds., April 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Workman 101.

Why do we have an election?

The Spring General Election is when the Student Association (SA) President, Vice-President, and ten Senate seats are elected.

Why should I vote?

The makeup of the executive and the senate have an important effect on student life, including how the student activity fee we all pay is spent and how relations are with the Tech administration. Since we have a small student body, everybody's vote is important!

Who can vote?

All undergraduates who have paid their student activities fee can vote in the election. Graduate students may vote for President and Vice-President, but not senate seats.
