Creative Writing Contest 2010

The Communication, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences Department, or CLASS, is sponsoring a creative writing contest for all Tech students.
Entries can be poetry, fiction or creative non-fiction. The deadline is 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1. Writers should submit two copies of each entry to Ann Hewitt at Fitch 103.

Each entry should include a cover sheet that includes name, email, phone number and category. The writer’s name should appear on the cover sheet only.

Poetry entries can be up to six pages in 12 point Times New Roman, single-spaced. Prose entries can be up to 15 pages in 12 point Times New Roman, double-spaced.

Winners will receive gift certificates to the Tech bookstore and will be invited to deliver a public reading at a special reception at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, in the Tripp Room at the Skeen Library. Selected winners will also be published in Miner’s Ink literary journal.
