The Joseph A. Fidel Student Services Center, New Mexico Tech's student union, is home to the Bookstore, Chartwell's, Counseling & Health Center, Fire & Ice Coffee Shop, the Game Room, Key Control, the Post Office, and the Student Association, all of which are located on the first floor. The second floor includes: Admission (Hi-Tech Ambassadors/MiniCourse/Multicultural Programs), Alumni/Advancement, Auxiliary Services, Cashier, Center for Student Success, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Public Information (Graphics/Marketing), Registrar, Residential Life, Student Accounts, Student Affairs (Career Services/Exchange/International Programs/Study Abroad), and Travel.
In addition to student support offices, Fidel Center also contains the Atrium, three conference rooms, a dining room, open areas on each floor, a Terrace, a Ballroom that can divided into three sections, and the Quiet Lounge. Each of these areas may be reserved for meetings, reception, and other events by completing a reservation form .
